Intern Spotlight: Anna Vonderhaar, Iowa Law Class of 2024

As an ALL Iowa Summer Intern, I conduct outreach, undertake legal service needs assessments, and support immigration services for Ukrainians resettled in Iowa through the United for Ukraine program and other pathways. Born and raised in Ukraine, I aim to use my fluency in Ukrainian and first-hand understanding of Ukrainian culture to provide interpreting and translation and assist with communications with Ukrainians in Iowa. 

I appreciate an opportunity to work for ALL Iowa this summer as it provides me with a way to help Ukrainians needing legal services who had to flee their homes because of the war. I am looking forward to utilizing my language skills as well as my experience in immigration law in this role. I am confident that ALL Iowa’s work with the Ukrainian community will have a long-lasting and positive impact. 

My dream job would involve immigration law and human rights.
